Welcome Guest Blogger Mary Kelly!

Innovative is pleased to introduce our new guest blogger, Mary Kelly, a public librarian who hails from Michigan.

Mary received an MLIS and an MBA from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Mary’s day job is Digital Services and Emerging Technologies Librarian at the Plymouth District Library in Plymouth, Michigan where they use Innovative SkyRiver. When not serving her customers at the reference desk, she is often seen trying to wrestle e-books and the Internet into submission. She is passionate about collection quality, library management, and loves a good reference question.

Along with her long-time co-worker, Holly Hibner, they are also co-creators of the popular blog “Awful Library Books.”  Mary and Holly have presented at various library conferences on a variety of topics. They are also authors of “Making a Collection Count: a holistic approach to library collection management.” Reading it will surely change your life, so interlibrary loan a copy today!

We look forward to sharing Mary’s enlightening wisdom and wit in her blogs.  Read her first blog here.
