The Innovative Users Group 2020 Conference

The annual Innovative Users Group (IUG) conference is a four-day event where over 700 library professionals from around the world gather to participate in over 130 sessions presented by their colleagues and Innovative staff.

The IUG 2020 conference offers returning and new attendees a wide variety of program sessions covering technical training, open forum discussions, soft skills training, case studies, best practices, product highlights and demonstrations, and more.

You can get involved in the following ways:

Attend. If you’ve never been to an IUG annual conference before, then mark your calendar for April 15-18, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. More details are available on the IUG website and you can register for the event here: https://www.xcdsystem.com/iug/attendee/index.cfm?ID=uDD0zW7

Join. The IUG is a user-led group, independent of Innovative, and member fees go directly to the user group. If your library is not a member of the IUG, then you can join for the cost of only $110 per year. The benefits of IUG membership include access to the annual conference, program materials from the annual meeting, participation in the IUG forums, access to the Clearinghouse, and more.

Participate. Once you’re logged in to the Innovative Users Group website, they have very active user forums where you can find Innovative users in your area, learn tips and tricks, and share process ideas. The IUG also has an enhancements committee that works closely with Innovative to manage our Idea Lab community.

About the Innovative Users Group

The Innovative Users Group provides a community for anyone and everyone who uses Innovative solutions to support their library experience and operations. In the field of integrated library software solutions, this group is the only self-governed organization. Since its origin in 1991, it has been funded and managed entirely by its own members.

The IUG is led by the Steering Committee whose members are elected by the general membership. It consists of a Chair, Vice Chair/Chair Elect, Past Chair, Secretary/Treasurer, and five Members at Large. All members of the Steering Committee volunteer their services to the organization.
