Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD), the second-largest library system in Colorado, has selected Polaris and Vega Discover, together with Vega Mobile, to power its next-generation library experience. Their decision to implement Polaris and two Vega modules aligns with the Library’s mission to cultivate spaces of belonging, personal growth, and strong communities, ensuring total access to information and services both digitally and in person.
From its origins as a small reading room in 1885 to its current system of 14 Library locations, mobile services, and an extensive digital presence, PPLD has consistently evolved to meet the needs of its growing population. The Library supports community engagement through diverse programs, strategic partnerships, and welcoming spaces that reflect and uplift the voices and aspirations of its patrons. With more than 400 staff members and nearly 350 volunteers, PPLD is known for its commitment to quality service, creativity, and community – values that align seamlessly with the capabilities of Polaris and Vega LX.
« Polaris will provide us with a robust, user-friendly platform for managing collections, patron interactions, and operational workflows, while Vega Discover will enhance the patron experience with intuitive discovery tools, personalized engagement, and mobile access with Vega Mobile, » says Name, Position.
These solutions will support PPLD’s vision of removing barriers and delivering library services that empower individuals and foster lifelong learning. Together, they represent a significant step forward in supporting PPLD’s mission to enrich lives and build strong, connected communities.
