Announcing Resource Sharing 3.1, Now In General Release

Innovative is pleased to announce that Resource Sharing 3.1 is now in general release, offering libraries powerful new features.

New Features in Innovative Resource Sharing 3.1 include:

  • ArticleReach (AR) is now available for libraries using the Resource Sharing Broker including NCIP Patron Authentication for the patron authentication process.
  • Conversion capabilities to migrate from sharing a local system to the agency model. Contact Innovative to review implementation strategies.
  • Master records are retained and assigned to “Central.”  Central no longer requeues when the owner of the master record has de-contributed and/or deleted holdings.
  • Support for Sierra (4.0) expanded patron and item types, material types, and item status codes* Central servers must be updated to Resource Sharing 3.1 (and Encore 4.7 SP1, if applicable) as a prerequisite for local servers to upgrade to Sierra 4.0. (Locals can be on Encore 4.6.2) Innovative Resource Sharing, INN-Reach and ArticleReach do not use Sierra extended type codes.
