What Programs Would You Love Most at IUG 2020?

Are you still using tips and tricks from one of this year’s IUG 2019 sessions? Reach out to the presenters and let them know their hard work was appreciated, then consider getting involved in IUG 2020! Our annual, independent Innovative user group conference has been successful for the past 27 years thanks to users like you who present at the conference.

Last year’s most popular user-led sessions were:

  • You Should Know This By Now: Getting your staff tech skills on the same page
  • How dare she RETIRE? Training and Issues for Polaris Administration
  • How to SQL (Sierra)
  • Back to Basics: Getting the Most Out of Order Records and Fund Codes
  • Making Your Cat(alog) Purr: Optimizing Your Sierra or Millennium System

You can get involved with the IUG in many different ways:

Submit. Program proposal submissions are now open for the IUG 2020 Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Innovative User Group members can use the instructions on the IUG 2020 Conference page on the member website to submit session proposals. The deadline for submissions is November 22, 2019.

Attend. If you’ve never been to an IUG annual conference before, then mark your calendar for April 15-18, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Innovative User Group (IUG) annual conference is a three-day event where you can learn best practices from colleagues, engage with Innovative staff on product development, and network with Innovative users like you.

Join. The IUG is a user-led group, independent of Innovative, and member fees go directly to the user group. If your library is not a member of the IUG, then you can join for the cost of only $100 per year (prices go up January 1, 2020). The benefits of IUG membership include access to the annual conference, program materials from the annual meeting, participation in the Idea Lab product innovation site, access to the Clearinghouse, participation in the IUG forums, and more.
