Five Innovative Solutions Win Recognition in 2023 Modern Library Awards

 
We are thrilled to share that five Innovative solutions received award-level recognition in LibraryWork’s eight annual Modern Library Awards (MLAs). The MLAs are awarded to the top products and services in the industry, according to criteria including functionality, value, and customer service. Product submissions were scored by more than 80,000 librarians.

Vega Discover, Innovative Resource Sharing (INN-Reach), and the Polaris Leap Web App received platinum awards, while Polaris ILS and Mobile Worklists both received gold distinctions.

The Best New Vega Discover Features from 2022
 
Vega Discover had 29 development releases and added 30 new features in 2022. Every two weeks, automatic software updates are sent to Vega Discover libraries, keeping their online catalog fresh and exciting.

With such frequent releases and so many developments, it may have been tricky to track all the details, so we put together a summary of Vega Discover releases from last year.

Innovative Ideas are Getting a New Home!
 
Working in conjunction with leaders from the Innovative User’s Group, we are currently in the process of migrating Idea Lab—our customer submission and voting platform for product enhancements—to Idea Exchange, which is hosted on the UserVoice platform.

Like its predecessor, Idea Exchange will be open to all employees at Innovative libraries, from front-line staff to directors, to submit, comment on, and vote on ideas for product enhancements, while implementing several improvements to enhance the user experience.

Idea Exchange will be officially unveiled at the IUG Conference, starting May 10.
