West Bloomfield Township Public Library chooses Vega Discover

Innovative, part of Clarivate, is proud to announce that the West Bloomfield Township Public Library in Michigan has selected Vega Discover as its new discovery solution.

The West Bloomfield Township Public Library traces its history back to 1934, when members of the Keego-Cass Women’s Club started a library in their clubhouse before becoming a public library in 1939. In 2010, the Institute for Museum and Library Services awarded West Bloomfield Township Public Library the National Medal for Museum and Library Service, the United States’ highest honor for libraries. The West Bloomfield Library offers a large collection and services that include literacy kits, 3D design and printing workshops, technology one-on-one sessions, book club kits, and more.

“We’re ready to provide a new generation of discovery for our patrons, and Vega Discover has the features and the intuitive interface that people have come to expect from their online experience,” says Cathleen Russ, West Bloomfield Township Public Library Director.

Vega Discover is a full-featured discovery tool that not only delivers premier search results, but also features a patron bookshelf with custom reading lists, patron account management, library-curated and automated smart showcases, and smart showcases on related resources and topics.

Vega Discover is the responsive and accessible discovery module of the Vega Library Experience (LX) suite of patron engagement tools. Vega LX is a cloud-based platform that allows library staff to easily communicate and manage a full range of materials, programs, and services.

Vega LX works seamlessly with ILS solutions Sierra and Polaris. To learn more about the Polaris ILS or the Vega LX platform, visit iii.com or contact Innovative today.
