Innovative, part of Clarivate, is pleased to announce that the Rapides Parish Library in Louisiana has selected Vega Program for event coordination and room management.
Rapides Parish Library serves their community with ten branches throughout Rapides Parish, as well as an Outreach Deliveries mobile service that services area community centers, homebound residents, and on-demand events. In addition to the library’s in-branch and online collection, patrons of the library can take advantage of museum passes, a makerspace with a variety of tools, virtual reality headsets, and meeting rooms. Rapides Parish Library events include painting, sculpture, book clubs for all ages, poetry workshops, tech classes, plant swaps and more.
“We’re eager to make sure people know about and can easily access our wide array of programs and services,” says Janie Primeaux, Systems Manager of Rapides Parish Library. “We look forward to using Vega Program to reach out to our community about these resources, and for our community to easily find and register for our programming.”
Whether the event is in person or online, standalone or recurring, Vega Program’s intuitive design empowers library staff to plan, coordinate, and manage their full breadth of events and programs. From the administrative dashboard, staff can easily create, edit, or clone events, while handling advanced settings, such as transaction fees (via Stripe), room bookings, and waitlist management. Built-in marketing tools provide staff with one-click event flier printing with event-specific QR codes and event brochures.
Vega Program is a module of the Vega Library Experience (LX) suite of tools. Vega LX is a cloud-based platform that allows library staff to easily communicate and manage a full range of materials, programs, and services. Vega LX works with the Sierra and Polaris ILSs to provide library staff with a holistic view of their patron activities and community engagement.
