“I Want To Do It Myself!” New Sierra & Polaris Idea Lab Challenge

The Innovative Product Team invites you to participate in our July/August 2020 Idea Lab challenge: I Want To Do It Myself!

Library patrons like to do things for themselves, from self-registration and self-checkout to holds management and My Account. This challenge is about anything and everything that helps patrons help themselves. Suggest product improvements you would like to see made to enhance your patrons’ self-service experience. Both Sierra and Polaris users can participate in this challenge in their respective product category. This challenge begins on July 15.

Have a new idea you’d like to share? Go ahead and submit it in the relevant topic area. Idea submissions are open until July 26.

See an idea you love? Vote for it. Your submissions and votes play an important part in shaping our focus. Commenting and voting will continue through August 2.

Pairwise voting will begin August 10. When you enter the challenge and click on the Pairwise tab, you will be prompted to choose your favorite idea from each of several pairs until you have seen every possible combination. Vote on as few or as many pairs as you like, and spread the word to your colleagues so they can vote, too!

We look forward to and very much appreciate your input!
