Congrats to Polaris Idea Lab Winners for “I Want To Do It Myself”

Hello Innovative Users!

Pairwise has concluded for the “I want to do it myself!” challenge, and we have our winner!

Designed to focus specifically on ways the system can improve patron self-service, this challenge garnered 16 ideas and received 326 votes!

The Polaris Winner

Submission: Patrons can cancel held items
Inspired by: Idea submitted by Cecilia Smiley
Proposed for: Polaris 7.1 H2 2021

“Since we implemented the ability to cancel hold requests in a shipped status, I’ve received several requests to support cancellation of held status,” said Samantha Quell, Polaris Product Owner. “I’m excited to add this feature to Polaris, as it will enable patrons to better manage their hold requests and allow materials to reach the next person in line faster.”

Remember, submissions live on in Idea Lab and our Always Open Space never closes. If you submitted an enhancement that is still important to you or you’ve just discovered a development opportunity, the Always Open space provides a place to post that idea for any Polaris product.
