Allen County Public Library (ACPL) in Fort Wayne, Indiana is the first library to launch a website made with Vega Promote Web, Innovative’s website builder. Allen County Public Library used Vega Promote Web to redesign two sites for their community: the main library website and the ACPL Genealogy Center website.
The Computers in Libraries 2024 conference, hosted by Information Today, Inc., is being held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia from March 12-14. The conference is an opportunity for libraries to discuss how technology impacts libraries and their community members.
Allen County’s session, which is being held on Thursday March 14 at 11:45am, is entitled: Your Website Can Do More Than You Think. The session will be hosted by Kim Bolan, Chief Operating Officer of the library, and Aja Michael-Keller, the library’s Director of Communications.
Allen County Public Library describes the session: “Because libraries serve a multitude of people with different needs and demands, figuring out the magic formula to designing a website delivering efficiency and satisfaction is a huge challenge. As our speakers took on their most recent website redesign, they challenged themselves to take a fresh look at the site through the eyes of their visitors.”
