Clarivate unveils two new Vega Library Experience (LX) modules, signaling a commitment to modern solutions for public library challenges
London, U.K. March 22, 2022 – Innovative, part of Clarivate plc, (NYSE:CLVT) today announced the expansion of the Vega Library Experience (LX) platform for better patron engagement through Vega Promote for digital marketing and Vega Program for event and room management. Both have been designed specifically for public libraries, with input from librarians. Vega LX is a cloud-based suite of solutions that works to create more personalized interactions between libraries and their patrons.

Implemented by Public Libraries
The Vega Engagement Development Partner program advances products through advisory discussions, usability testing, and beta testing with library partners. Three libraries have partnered with Innovative to develop Vega Promote and are currently using the system: The Ferguson Library in Connecticut, Central Arkansas Library System in Arkansas, and BCCLS library consortium in New Jersey.
Vega Promote and Vega Program
Vega Promote is a digital marketing tool that enables libraries to manage email marketing campaigns, configured for librarians to manage integrated library systems and marketing contacts. The simple, intuitive interface enables library staff to easily design and schedule emails, to communicate at scale with their community and tailor their communications for specific audiences. At launch, libraries using Vega Promote will be able to tag and segment contacts, create email templates, insert images from a photo library with over four million free stock photos, and schedule and send email campaigns. Promote also includes the ability to insert clickable Vega Discover showcases (book carousels) with book cover images into Promote emails.
Vega Program helps libraries manage the online aspect of the creation, promotion, registration and execution of events. Developed by and for librarians to simplify event and room management, it gives library staff the tools they need to successfully orchestrate and advertise their programs to the community. Vega Program focuses on enhancing the library experience for both users registering for programs and library staff managing those programs. For patrons and guests, Program offers a responsive public calendar with individual event landing pages where users can search or filter upcoming events and register using their patron account. For library staff, Program is designed to give full control of events and room bookings through powerful administrative tools that include easy event set up, attendee communications and built-in marketing processes. Some first-released features include the ability to export automated event fliers and brochures, waitlist handling, and payment and refund integration with Stripe.
