Innovative Resource Sharing and the Polaris Web Application also win top distinctions
EMERYVILLE, Calif. — Innovative Interfaces, a leading provider of library automation software that empowers libraries globally, is proud to announce three products received distinctions from LibraryWorks’ fourth annual Modern Library Awards (MLAs).
Innovative products receiving honors included:
- Mobile Worklists, a mobile iOS app for collection management, received Platinum for the third year in a row;
- Innovative Resource Sharing, a system for libraries to receive and lend returnable and non-returnable items with other libraries across their network, also received Platinum, the highest level of distinction;
- The Polaris Web Application, a browser-based solution that offers public services and item management workflows, received Gold for the third year in a row.
LibraryWorks created the MLAs to recognize the top products and services in the industry, evaluated on criteria including functionality, value, and customer service. This year, product submissions were sent to more than 80,000 librarians for scoring.
“We are honored to receive three awards for the third year in a row and to hear such positive feedback from the industry,” said Innovative CEO Jim Tallman. “We are focused on continually developing our products to provide truly innovative solutions for libraries today and tomorrow.”
Innovative was the first to market with a native mobile app for library staff, and it continues to far exceed expectations. Mobile Worklists received two perfect scores (10 out of 10) from judges in the areas of overall quality of the product and product quality compared with competitive/similar products.
