Innovative is pleased to announce that Resource Sharing 3.1 is now in general release, offering libraries powerful new features.
New Features in Innovative Resource Sharing 3.1 include:
- ArticleReach (AR) is now available for libraries using the Resource Sharing Broker including NCIP Patron Authentication for the patron authentication process.
- Conversion capabilities to migrate from sharing a local system to the agency model. Contact Innovative to review implementation strategies.
- Master records are retained and assigned to “Central.” Central no longer requeues when the owner of the master record has de-contributed and/or deleted holdings.
- Support for Sierra (4.0) expanded patron and item types, material types, and item status codes* Central servers must be updated to Resource Sharing 3.1 (and Encore 4.7 SP1, if applicable) as a prerequisite for local servers to upgrade to Sierra 4.0. (Locals can be on Encore 4.6.2) Innovative Resource Sharing, INN-Reach and ArticleReach do not use Sierra extended type codes.
