The Implementation & Training Services Department is responsible for all phases of system implementation, including software installation, database profiling and indexing, and training services. A Project Manager leads each team of staff experts consisting of an Implementation Consultant, a Technical Support Specialist, a Training Consultant, and a System Specialist. Implementation Services staff are located around the globe, ensuring library staff that they will be working with people familiar with their language and culture. Our consultants have experience migrating data from many other ILS vendors' systems. While Implementation Consultants offer advice on indexing and profiling, other members of Innovative's Implementation team provide technical support and workflow analysis. This ensures a smooth and efficient transition for the library. The Getting Started Manual, a Web-based documentation tool, also helps guide the library step-by-step through this process. Innovative Training Consultants are professional librarians you can depend on to train library staff with a hands-on approach using the library's existing data. Offering a wealth of experience, Training Consultants advise librarians on how best to configure the Innovative software. This allows libraries to match and enhance their internal operations and improve public services. On-Site Training is part of the typical implementation package selected by most Innovative libraries. If a library desires additional training, Innovative offers customized on-site training, live and recorded Web-based training and regular workshops held at Innovative headquarters and user group meetings. Online tutorials are available at all times via CSDirect: frequently updated online product and feature tutorials complement on-site training and product documentation and can be used as pre-training introductions or post-training reinforcements. Workshops at our Emeryville Training Center complement the new user curriculum and customized training by covering specialized and advanced topics. These workshops will help your staff take advantage of the full capabilities of your Innovative system once they have mastered day-to-day functionality. By attending workshops at our Training Center, your staff will benefit from the expertise of our trainers while learning from experienced peers. Our facility allows interactive, hands-on sessions in a state-of-the-art learning environment. |
