Overwhelmed and unsure. That described me at my first Innovative Users Group conference in 2010. System administrator at my library for a whopping 7 months, I didn’t know the difference between the SCAT table and a load profile.

MyLibrary! now offers keyword searching right from the app. In addition to scanning a book by ISBN, patrons can search the full catalog within the app by keyword. This release includes a filter to narrow results by material type, and offers an expanded range of materials to place on hold.

Innovative recently launched Sierra Release 3.4 with a new Sierra Offline Circulation client and additional enhancements to give library partners more customization options as they manage their system and data.

MyLibrary! users may have noticed a few changes with MyLibrary! 2.1, the most recent release of the patron mobile app. Patrons logging into the app will now see labels that match their library’s webPAC or Encore labels for a consistent discovery experience across devices.

As we consider the theme of “What’s Past is Prologue” for the annual Charleston Conference, it is clear that the area of library collections is still ripe for innovation in 2017. While the details of managing collections have changed dramatically over the years, the core goals behind why we do what we do have remained constant.

Recent changes in the Mobile Worklists app offer significant time-savings and efficiency improvements for library staff. Users can now quickly navigate between Item Detail screens within a list by swiping up or down to view the next item, and those Item Detail screens now include copy number information.

This release includes expanded patron authentication options, access to configuration for tables library staff and administrators, and more accurate record matching.

As requested by Innovative library partners, this release provides the ability for consortia central offices and member libraries to manage electronic resources with shared workflows, and for any library to view coverage data from multiple content providers together in one place.
