Over 100 Academic Libraries Go Live with Sierra in Q1 2013

Emeryville, CA—Innovative announced today that over 100 academic and law school libraries in the US, Canada, and Europe went live with the Sierra Services Platform in the first quarter of 2013. Sierra represents a new approach to library technology that provides the extensive functionality required for today's libraries, while also bringing open architecture to library staff, allowing them to create their own solutions and adapt rapidly to the changing role of their libraries and institutions.

The libraries now live with Sierra include American University, Washington College of Law (DC); British Columbia Institute of Technology (Canada); HELIN Library Consortium (RI), Hofstra University (NY); Indiana Wesleyan University; Sonoma State University (CA); Stetson University College of Law (FL); Tennessee State University; Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Italy); University of Denver (CO); University of Nebraska, Kearney; University of Nevada, Reno; and University of Pennsylvania Law School.

"Innovative has a long tradition of serving academic libraries, and we are seeing an enthusiastic response to the new Sierra platform from our established customer base as well as new partners," says Innovative's CEO Kim Massana. "It's particularly gratifying to see the customer loyalty in the academic-library segment, and Innovative will continue to serve this community with products that help them reach their highest technology potential."
