Decision Center Launches at Public and Academic Libraries
Emeryville, CA—Innovative announced today that Decision Center, a new collection-management solution that provides actionable recommendations to libraries, has been implemented at several libraries including Jefferson County Public Library (CO); Tulsa City-County Library (OK); and University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Decision Center's key features include showing library staff where to weed or expand collections, providing guidance for effective spending and staffing, optimizing collections to reflect community demand and usage, and maximizing item-availability for faster service.
"Decision Center goes beyond traditional ILS and collection management tools," says Gene Shimshock, Senior VP of Product and Market Management. "It is a fresh solution that examines comprehensive information about the library enterprise and delivers real answers that have a positive impact on service, workflow, and spending efficiency."
Only Decision Center utilizes Innovative's Dynamic Library Intelligence™, which pairs current and complete data with library-selected performance targets. Unlike inventory-only products, Decision Center considers a wider swath of data that spans holds, circulation, expenditures, transit times, item locations, and patron demographics.
Decision Center is an integrated solution and operates seamlessly with either with the Millennium ILS or Innovative's Sierra Services Platform. Innovative will be presenting Decision Center at ALA Midwinter Booth #803 in Seattle, WA.
