WebPAC Pro
WebPAC Pro is the exciting follow-up to the first commercial Web-based catalog, Innovative's Web OPAC. WebPAC pro updates search functionality with pioneering RightResult™ search technology that groups the most relevant materials on top so patrons quickly get to the specific items they’re looking for. And if they need extra help, the Spell Check option provides the corrections necessary to launch the intended search. With WebPAC Pro, your catalog becomes a focal point for the variety of ways people want to use your content and services. Users can take advantage of self-service and personalization tools such as My Millennium, Ecommerce, Patron Self Registration, and Program Registration. Logged-in patrons can also use the Patron Ratings feature or share their opinion with the Community Reviews option. WebPAC Pro is also a vehicle for timely information delivery with integrated Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds from external resources. Libraries also have the option to send user-specific My Record Feeds messages or Feed Builder alerts reflecting new content or items of particular interest. WebPAC Pro also breaks through the design limitations of the traditional online catalog with deep control over information content and presentation with Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) technology—while movable tokens help you create the bibliographic and search-results displays you want.

Advanced SearchingInnovative's Advanced Searching brings the power and functionality of an Internet search engine to the library's catalog. With its combinable search functions, Advanced Searching provides accurate, exact information immediately, from anywhere in the OPAC. AirPACAirPAC is an OPAC designed especially for wireless devices. Whether users are searching the catalog from a mobile telephone or Palm™ device with wireless access, AirPAC is the answer. AirPAC delivers the power of Millennium searching, including Advanced Search, limiting and sorting of results, and library-defined record and holdings displays. Patrons can now walk through the library stacks with the Millennium OPAC in the palm of their hands, allowing them to issue searches against live catalog data and retrieve information (e.g., location, call number, and real time data about status and availability). Patrons can interact with the Millennium system from anywhere accessible by wireless networks, allowing a user to place a hold from a classroom, check due dates and renew items during a long commute, or search the catalog while running errands to find the closest library branch where a desired title is held. Campus ComputingInnovative knows that the online catalog needs to be part of its users online environment. Nowhere is this more critical than on campus, where students conduct business and seek information from a variety of local sources. With Millennium's Campus Computing suite, WebPAC Pro joins your college or university's environment with seamless integration that makes library administration and student access easy—from authentication to doing research in a Web environment. External Patron VerificationExternal Patron Verification gives libraries the ability to provide single-password access between their services and external campus systems. This product authenticates patrons on LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) servers, commonly used on college and university campuses. External Patron Verification also offers the option to enhance security with SSL (Secure Socket Layer) transport, TLS security protocol, SASL security protocol, or a required LDAP password. Courseware Integration for BlackboardThis product provides integrated access to library services through a popular courseware provider. Your library's catalog can be searched from within Blackboard, with results sets Single Sign-onAn optional product in WebPAC Pro, Single Sign-on improves the user experience of campus libraries by eliminating the inconvenience of re-authentication. With Single Sign-on, patrons log in on the first server visited—either the library or Community ReviewsCommunity Reviews allows patrons to compose reviews for items in WebPAC Pro. The library can designate any subgroup of patrons (such as college faculty) as exclusive reviewers. Patrons can also view reviews in My Millennium. An optional feature allowing users to report a review to staff as being inappropriate. The staff component of Community Reviews allows the approval or deletion of reviews and advanced searching existing reviews. Content IntegrationBaker & Taylor's Content Cafe™Baker & Taylor's Content Café provides WebPAC Pro access to an extensive database of enriched bibliographic information. With almost 1.5 million jacket art images, tables of contents, and full-text reviews from key sources. Syndetic SolutionsInnovative Interfaces has partnered with Syndetic Solutions as a reseller, providing enriched bibliographic content to users of the Millennium system. This content can be used to enrich both Millennium staff clients and WebPAC Pro displays, and is fully compliant with the MAP (Millennium Access Plus) suite of products. This information includes tables of contents, reviews, book summaries, author notes, book-jacket images, first chapters, and fiction and biography profiles. While Innovative offers the preferred content from Syndetic Solutions, the choice of provider remains with the library. netLibrary™Innovative's integration of netLibrary eBooks is now available to its libraries. Innovative has developed features that integrate netLibrary's collection into the online catalog, including search limits, previews, and check-out. In addition, full MARC records can be downloaded into the library's catalog with complete access to the eBook, and the netLibrary record-loading process is fully integrated into Innovative's Acquisitions EDI system. EcommerceEcommerce allows patrons to pay fees and fines displayed in their My Millennium record. It can also be used to collect donations to the library. Innovative delivers this helpful self-service feature directly through the online catalog. Feed Builder & My Record FeedsFeed Builder is an optional product available with WebPAC Pro that publishes RSS feeds directly from Millennium to any web portal or feed reader. Library staff can create complex searches of the database or review files that generate the outbound feeds. To help patrons stay in close contact with their library transactions, Innovative also offers My Record Feeds, which send timely alerts about holds, overdues and more to any feed reader. My Millennium: PersonalizationMy Millennium is a tool that enables unprecedented customization for library patrons. An OPAC search session can be customized by individual patrons with their records forming the basis of their profile. My Millennium automatically saves both staff and patrons extra keying and time during lengthy search sessions. An exciting and innovative tool for patron empowerment, My Millennium enables patrons to conduct a search, save it, and come back to it later. For library staff, My Millennium allows usage statistics to be generated with a new circulation report based on patron-initiated functions. Pathfinder ProMillennium can link users of WebPAC Pro directly to external Web resources defined by the library. The catalog presents links and content dynamically, in catalog-search results sets and record displays, allowing users to expand their searches beyond the catalog without re-keying or augment their local catalog finds with book reviews, jacket images, and online references. All link targets are defined and managed by the library and are provided by the software on the fly without any data loading or record editing. Program RegistrationThe fully integrated Program Registration module allows patrons to manage their participation in library events and frees staff from manual procedures they have relied on in the past.
